Fraticelli Friday (week 3)- Featuring a Track from Aaron Dugan’s Theory of Everything (2010)

With so many exciting things coming in the near future, it makes me enjoy looking into the past. For the next several weeks I will be re releasing a track from one of my previous groups every Friday entitled Fraticelli Friday. I hope you enjoy and thanks to anyone out there who might be listening!

Excitement for the future and appreciation for the past makes me feel at home in the present.

This recording session was absolutely the most fun I’ve had in a studio. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed that much at a session before. We did this record at Aaron Nevezie’s The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn, and we all just had way to much fun that day. We had a catch phrase that we kept on repeating throughout the day that I won’t mention here, but whispering it into the mic’s while everyone was wearing their headphones was hilarious! When we played I feel like that energy just moved right into the music, and it was effortless, fun, and magical at the same time. This track I still can not stop listening to. Amy Carrigan’s voice when it comes in just gives me goosebumps every time, and she really nails the sounding like an instrument thing. It’s angelic and beautiful! Aaron Dugan is one of my closest friends and peer, and he is a total and true artist in every sense of the word. The way he musically expresses is always unique, like during his guitar solo where it sounds like he’s screaming. Playing with him and Mark Guiliana as the core trio was completely organic feeling, and I feel like you can hear that. Rob Marscher came in later and overdubbed keys and gave this track an absolute lift. Hope you enjoy this one…
